Creating a safe, comfortable facility for your loved one and your family is a top priority for Mesilla Valley Hospice & Palliative Care. Our team wants to create a quiet, respectful, and loving atmosphere that prioritizes privacy, comfort, and familiarity.

Leadership and a full-time maintenance staff are constantly working to make facility improvements and assuring that all of the furnishings and fixtures are up-to-date and inviting. In fact, the facility has recently benefitted from a comprehensive refurbishing that includes new flooring, exterior paint and stucco repair, and other changes that may not be seen but will definitely be felt.

Presently, La Posada Assisted Living consists of 17 residential rooms and one respite room. Residents also have access to an activity room, a beauty salon, family common areas, a dining room, a community kitchen/bistro area, and multiple enclosed gardens.

Mesilla Valley Hospice offers 12 in-patient rooms with attached bathrooms. Each room has a hospital-style bed, a mini-fridge, and seating for guests. Families are encouraged to bring items into the room that comfort the patient, from their favorite blankets and pillows to family photos and mementos that are held dear.

Both La Posada Assisted Living and Mesilla Valley Hospice have monitored access. Hospice visitors enter through a dedicated lobby with a daytime receptionist that controls access to the locked entry. After-hours access is provided to family by the nursing staff. Assisted living residents have their own dedicated entry – family members can come and go with a magnetic key card issued to authorized visitors.
