Mesilla Valley Hospice Foundation

In 2009, the board of directors for Mesilla Valley Hospice assisted in the development and final creation of a seperate 501c3 organization to support the hospice program for years to come.  The Mesilla Valley Hospice Foundation was created to be the sole fundraising organization for the hospice organization.  With continued support the Mesilla Valley Hospice Foundation will be able to raise funds in perpetuity to assist Mesilla Valley Hospice in all of its programming and patient needs. 

Should you be interested in making memorial gifts in honor of your family, friends, and community members please do so to the Mesilla Valley Hospice Foundation. The Foundation is the fundraising organization solely providing needed funds to hospice patients in Dona Ana County. Giving to the Foundation is the same as giving directly to Mesilla Valley Hospice and will benefit for years to come.

There are a variety of ways you and your family can honor persons through giving. Placing statements such as "in lieu of flowers please make donation to Mesilla Valley Hospice Foundation" is just one of the varieties of ways.

Secondly, families can make donation directly to the Foundation in honor of their Mesilla Valley Hospice care team which includes your Nurse Case Manager, Certified Nursing Assistants, Social Workers, Chaplains, Volunteers, etc. These gifts will then be acknowledged at staff activities as recognition to what our staff does each and every day.

In kind donations are always a great vehicle to give to the hospice program. Many of these in kind gifts are sold at an annual yard sale or used for future patients and families. In kind gifts can range from medical equipment, furniture, clothing, vehicles, etc.

Lastly, leaving a lasting gift to the Mesilla Valley Hospice Foundation will not only assist in the growing need of hospice services in Dona Ana county but will leave a legacy for years to come. Planned giving including estate planning are just some of the options to leaving a legacy for hospice.
